Who We Are
Youth Catalytics is a nonprofit training and research organization that supports and advances positive youth development in communities across the country. We strengthen programs, stimulate best practices and react quickly to emerging issues that directly impact the lives of young people and their families. We are highly intentional about how we invest our time, energy and financial resources. By undertaking projects that haven’t received adequate attention elsewhere, we create practical and replicable models for change.
Established in 1981 to support child welfare programs in New England, over time we expanded our reach by working collaboratively with multi-service agencies, schools, communities, state systems, universities and foundations. Today, our interests and expertise extend to many different subpopulations: disconnected and at-risk youth, pregnant and parenting teens, LGBTQ youth, and children and youth marginalized by poverty.
Put simply, we improve any system, program or community that works with young people.
Improving life chances for young people by building the capacity of youth-serving organizations; driving innovation in social services and communities; and creating and disseminating new knowledge and tools.
That young people flourish in their communities, and that the organizations and people who support them are strong and valued allies.
Innovation. Collaboration. Action.
